Resin Outdoor Flooring

Resin outdoor flooring is a great option for any area that is prone to moisture. It can withstand freezing temperatures, high humidity and is resistant to mould and mildew, making it a practical solution for damp areas. Specially formulated epoxy mixtures can also be applied to current concrete, saving the cost and chaotic process of removing existing concrete. Most importantly, however, outdoor resin is UV-resistant and doesn’t release toxins into the air.

This makes it a viable and safe flooring solution for outdoor spaces such as garden patios, swimming pools and even walkways. Its durability means it can withstand heavy traffic and vehicles, and its slip-resistant surface is safe to walk on in wet conditions. The versatility of the material means it can be designed and coloured to create a unique, eye-catching look for any space.

Creating Stylish Outdoor Spaces: The Appeal of Resin Outdoor Flooring

It is important to note, however, that outdoor resin will need to be sealed regularly in order to retain its UV stability. If it is not properly maintained, the resin can yellow and degrade with exposure to direct sunlight. To avoid this, it is recommended that the surface is installed in shady areas or covered with a UV-stable sealer.

SureSet can be laid over a variety of bases including MOT type 1 gravel, sand and MOT type 3 permeable paving. However, it is not suitable to lay over dirt as this can crack the paving and cause problems. It is also not recommended to lay it over timber or wood as these can absorb moisture and rot, causing damage to the resin.
